Tender Details

The Works:

Fitout of the existing Emergency Department (now gutted) plus fitout of the new “shell” extension which is predominantly an elevated single storey building attached to the west of the gutted emergency department.

The fitout of the demolished floor area is in the order of 1,245 square metres while fitout of the new build floor area is in the order of 930 square metres.

The new building “shell” currently being constructed is generally concrete and steel frame, steel roof structure clad with pre-finished FC sheets.

The floor level is elevated above an existing access road to the privately operated car park and as an alternate access to the Hospital Loading Dock. Access to the car park will be required at all times unless the Contractor negotiates otherwise with the operator.

The plant room above will be available for completion and commissioning of required plant. Spare capacity is available from the existing chilled water plant.

The management of car parking and noise impact on the Hospital during construction is imperative to ensure the continual operation of the Hospital.

The contractor is to provide temporary services if required, for maintaining engineering services to the Hospital during construction.
