Tender Details
The Department of Corrective Services apparel requirements are currently managed by a private sector firm on a vendor held stock (VHS) arrangement.
Corrective Services cost centres order the uniform items using an electronic catalogue. When receipted, a Recipient Created Tax Invoice (RCTI) is generated to enable payment.
The Department raised between 12000 and 15000 orders during the 2005/06 financial year and its expenditure is estimated at $ 1.8M per annum.
Proposed Arrangement
The existing Total Apparel Manager will cease operations at the expiry of the current contract and transfer the existing arrangements to the new Total Apparel Manager (Contractor).
All of Corrective Services locations will order directly from the Contractor, receive items direct and payment will be made from on a centralized basis.
The Contractor will work with Corrective Services in implementing E-Commerce, construction of databases and format of management reports
In the normal course of business it will be a requirement that the Contractor ensures that orders are delivered within the agreed timeframe and that emergency and new employee deliveries are arranged with 24 and 48 hours respectively.
Strict specification and contract performance reviews will be undertaken at regular intervals by Corrective Services or external evaluators to assist with the service.
