Acquisition, processing & imaging of gravity data in the
Far South West NSW.
The Department of Primary Industries (DPI) have engaged the Department of Commerce to establish a contract for the collection of gravity data.
A regular grid of gravity stations needs to be acquired across the interpreted extension of the Bendigo and Stawell zones in Victoria into southern NSW. It is intended to measure the earths gravity field at a regular 4km x 4km interval. Although various parts of these areas have a patchwork of existing detailed gravity data coverage along many of the shire roads and tracks in the area, a regular grid is required for 3D interpretation. Where possible, existing gravity stations are to be incorporated into the survey plan.
