Tender Details

Data Services under Category 1A of the Government Telecommunications Agreement (GTA) cover data telecommunications services that are provided by an Authorised Contractor under the Agreement.

These services are referred here under as GTA Category 1A Data Services, and include but are not limited to:
  • ISDN
  • xDSL
  • PAPL
  • X.163
  • Ethernet (Layer 2, Layer 3)
  • Wireless Data (WiFi/WiMax, 3G, GSM, W-CDMA, HSDPA etc)
  • Satellite Data
  • Frame Relay
  • ATM
  • DDS (Digital Data Services)
  • SONET/SDH
  • SAN (Storage Array Networks connectivity)
  • Fibre (Dark, Wavelengths)
  • Other TDM/Circuit Switched Data (e.g. DialConnect, PSTN)
  • Other Packet Switched Data (e.g. SMDS, X.25, Fibrechannel)
  • SOHO Broadband Internet

    For the purpose of this Tender, the GTA Category 1A Data Services have been split into two distinct classifications or groups.

    Group 1:
    Standard Data Services Data Services that represent the standard suite of telecommunications services commonly sought by the majority of government agencies

    Group 2:
    Specialised Data Services
    Data Services that have more specialised functionality for specific requirements.

    Please note that Managed Network Data Services will be procured under GTA Category 5.


    TENDER BRIEFING
    A tender briefing is scheduled for Thursday, 9 August 2007, 10am, at the McKell Building, Level 4.

    Prospective tenderers may nominate up to three (3) representatives to attend the tender briefing.

    Attendees must register with gta@commerce.nsw.gov.au by close of business on Tuesday, 7 August 2007.

    Obtaining the RFT Documents:

    If you do not already have a current and licenced copy of 'Dmax Lite' v5 software, a copy of the software can be purchased and downloaded from this site as part of your download process.

    Lodging a tender:

    Your completed tender in the required software format MUST be lodged electronically via this RFT web page.
    Click on the blue "LODGE A RESPONSE" link at the bottom of this page and follow the on-screen instructions.
    As the tenderer you must be a registered user of this tendering web site.
    Ensure that your tender includes a file in *.dtr format.
    Other PC requirements:
    This web site has been optimised for the Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator web browsers. The minimum requirements are as follows - IE version 5.5 or later, Firefox 1 or later, Netscape Navigator Ver 4.7 or later  all with Cipher Strength = 128bit.
