The Department of Primary Industries (DPI) have engaged the Department of Commerce to establish a contract for the collection of gravity data in the Thomson Orogen/Eromanga Basin in far northwest NSW.
A regular grid of at least 3200 (maximum of 4000) gravity stations needs to be acquired across the Thomson Orogen/Eromanga Basin - this will complete semi-detailed coverage of gravity in the northwest of NSW.
It is intended to measure the earth's gravity field at a regular 2km x 2km interval over the interpreted shallower parts of the Thomson Orogen and expand the grid to 4km x 4km over deeper parts of the Eromanga Basin.
Although various parts of these areas have a patchwork of existing detailed gravity data coverage along many of the shire roads and tracks in the area, a regular grid is required for 3D interpretation.
Where possible, existing gravity stations are to be incorporated into the survey plan.

Interested Tenderers are to arrange to obtain a data CD containing information relating to shape files, images & gravity data.
Please note that to read the files on this CD you will need to have loaded on your PC the software program called Arc Map.
