The proposed PC3 Laboratory will need to be constructed to comply with OGTR and AQIS requirements for accreditation by both authorities as a Physical Containment Level 3 Laboratory. This will involve creating varying negative pressure in the facility in relation to exterior atmosphere of -25Pa to anteroom and -50Pa to laboratory, to be achieved by mechanical extraction and HEPA filtering.
The facility will be constructed at the contractors premises and transported and installed at the Orange Agricultural Institute. The structure will need to be of ridged construction as specified to enable future transportation without compromising the facilities segregation from external influences.
