Tender Details
Tenders are sought from suitably qualified Organisations having the experience and resources to:
1. Develop an effective and efficient accreditation model, its component processes, an assessment framework with criteria statements and a rating process, to be utilised by the Institute to accredit cancer services within NSW. It is envisaged that the proposed model will consider other accreditation processes currently undertaken by cancer services, NSW Health and Area Health Services and encourage continual quality improvement;
2. Provide a detailed costing of the system including options for different approaches identifying strengths and weaknesses of each approach;
3. Provide advice on a cost efficient sustainable model for cancer care accreditation;
4. Advise on the development of a web based tool that would allow self lodgement of activity statements and advise on the major factors that may impact on the feasibility of a web based self lodgement tool for cancer services;
5. Develop a verification methodology for assessing the accuracy of self assessment responses and
6. Make recommendations regarding an appropriate organisation to undertake the accreditation.
The development of accreditation standards is not a component of this consultancy. A concurrent consultancy will be undertaken to focus on the development of accreditation standards.
