Tender Details

The NSW Ministry of Transport (the Ministry) wishes to procure an independent capability to conduct reviews of medical assessments completed by medical practitioners and specialists on behalf of persons making application to the Ministry for certain purposes. These applicants are primarily drivers of public passenger vehicles and school students seeking concession travel benefits on medical grounds.

As part of the criteria for authorisation to drive a public passenger vehicle in the State of New South Wales it is a requirement that drivers are medically fit to drive the vehicle or vehicles relating to the authorisation. The Ministry also administers the School Student Transport Scheme (SSTS) and Private Vehicle Conveyance subsidy (PVC) (the transport subsidy Schemes) under which free or subsidised travel can be granted on medical grounds.

The Ministry invites tenders for a suitably qualified medical practitioner to work in its offices situated at 16-18 Wentworth Street, Parramatta NSW to review and adjudicate on medical assessments detailed in Forms submitted by or behalf of the above noted applicants.
