Development of Retrofit Kits for conversion of manual AFDRS signs to electronic operation - RFP-RFS-2023-061

New Australian Fire Danger Rating standard introduced on the 1st September 2022, RFS updated approximately 600 manual Fire Danger Rating signs to show the new Fire Danger Ratings.

Whilst all signs now meet the new AFDRS standards, NSWRFS also wishes to modify these newly installed signs so that they become electronic remotely controlled signs that are automatically updated.

Preliminary work undertaken by NSWRFS, suggests that this may be possible through a conversion kit that can be installed on site.

Through this RFP we are seeking to identify and work with suppliers that have the resources and capabilities to be forward thinking and able to use new technologies and materials to create a sustainable and cost-effective solution
