The purpose of Procurement at Sydney Water is to get the goods, services and facilities it needs, when it needs them and for the right cost. EOI to identify Contractors that meet Sydney Water’s pre-qualification requirements. Those Contractors meeting the pre-qualification requirements will be invited to participate in Tender for the provision of Supply of PlumbAssist Contractors. 

The scope of work has been developed to assist with plumbing faults that impact;  

  • Health 
  • Public amenity or safety  
  • Water consumption 
  • Water costs  

The program scope for the works includes:  

  • Residential plumbing: water efficiency audits, leak repairs (minor / major / concealed), tap /toilet / cistern replacements, water efficient device replacements/ installations, hot water system repairs and replacements, sewer clearing.
  • Quality assurance and testing 
  • Water efficiency information, awareness, education 
  • Customer management; scheduling appointments, customer engagement, referrals. 
  • Inventory management: ordering, storage, issuing, reporting and stocktake of all free issue materials.   

The Contractor provides all necessary labour, materials, plant & equipment (including safety equipment) necessary to perform the works.  

Goods and services will be installed / carried out on customer’s properties with the Sydney Water area of operation. 

EOI Closed 14th June 2023 at 5:00pm 

Contractor’s meeting EOI requirements must be registered in Ariba by 16th June 2023 at 5:00pm. Failure to do so will reduce the time a Contractor meeting the EOI requirements has to respond to the Tender once published.

Conditions for Participation

If selected to participate in this sourcing event Tenderers must have:  

 

  • Minimum Work, Health, Safety criteria: AS4801/AS/NZS/ISO45001; OR NSW government WHS management system and auditing guidelines - 6th Edition; OROffice of Federal Safety Commission (OFSC accreditation); 
  • Agree to and have the ability to operate under a NEC4 Supply Agreement Contract Structure 
  • Key Personnel have a minimum of 5-years demonstrated experience relevant to the services with an Australian Water Utility or Equivalent Sector. 
  • Contractor Licence – Plumbing (Registered as per NSW Fair Trading / Service NSW, licensee name, licence number, trade, suburb)
