Transport for NSW (TfNSW) invites innovative and suitably experienced organisations who have access to multiple mobility data sources within NSW to participate in a request for proposal to supply anonymised location-based mobility data across the three (3) streams listed below:
1. Mobile phone apps and telco-based data
2. Vehicle location telemetry data (including Connected Vehicles IoT data)
3. Mobility as a service/Point 2 Point Provider Data

Mobility data refers to collected data of activities, events, and transactions through devices or services that track real-time mobility. This data is recorded through points of spatial location (latitude and longitude) over a period. Essentially, mobility data is a key source of insights and information for TfNSW Operations, Strategy and Planning.

TfNSW places a high value on data to understand patronage trends in the network, meet transport demands and deliver a positive customer experience.

The solution for mobility data platform for TfNSW must have multiple data sources to gain access and insights to data within NSW to support the initiatives of TfNSW Future Transport Strategy.
