Decommissioning of PMR Site Stage 2 - RFX27112023

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) is in the process of decommissioning its agency PMR networks in regional NSW.  This contract includes two isolated sites, Mt Sugarloaf and Timbillica, with the remainder being within the New England and Southern Tablelands.

The FRNSW equipment including radio & power equipment, antennas and feeders need to be stripped out of the listed sites in order to “make good” the sites for the site owners.

The external work in scope includes the removal of all antennas, feeders, and mounts (not at all sites). The internal work in scope includes the removal of all FRNSW radio equipment, RF lightning protection, DC power supplies and batteries, along with all RF and power feeders.

At two sites, Timbillica Trig and Blue Nobby, the work includes removal and disposal of the equipment shelter.

At a single site, Katoomba, the work involves derigging, decommissioning and disposal of a 3m Southern Cross communications tower.

The work includes recording of equipment types and serial numbers, and the delivery of clear sharp photos of the state of the site before & after the work has been completed.

All items necessary to complete the work is to be supplied by the contractor and includes the return of removed equipment back to Sydney, Greenacre.
