The extent of works for this contract includes but is not limited to:
The work includes the provision of all labour, plant and materials to construct Stage 2 River and/or levee bank protection works at Site UH13 Singleton Levee. Stage 1 works, being the construction of the rock berm at the base of the river bank have previously been completed in June 2009.
As a general description Stage 2 works covers the construction of a rock blanket, from the previously constructed rock berm, up the river bank with associated works.
The works comprise all work shown on the drawings and included in the specification.
A mandatory pre-tender meeting will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday 2nd December 2009 at the site. The meeting place for the meeting is under the New England Highway bridge with access off Dr Maffey Drive, Singleton. Attendance at the meeting is compulsory. Tenders received from contractors not in attendance at the site meeting will not be considered for acceptance.
