Council's goal is to maintain the natural condition of the rivers, creeks, ponds and lagoons while recognising the need to maintain these assets for recreation and biodiversity.
It aims to develop a maintenance program for open water bodies and pollution control devices that focuses on the principles of Ecologically Sustainable Development; incorporating ecological, hydrological and recreational considerations.
