PROVISION OF MARINE LIDAR SURVEY DATA AND SPATIAL MODELLING PRODUCTS FOR - OEH-251-2011

The NSW Government seeks to acquire high resolution bathymetric data and spatial modelling products of the NSW Central Coast using LiDAR technology to support tsunami, climate change and storm surge assessment on the NSW Coast.  It is expected the elevation and modelling products will be delivered to a standard, quality and accuracy suited to whole-of-government use.

Marine LiDAR technology has emerged over the past five years as an affordable and recognised method for high resolution bathymetric mapping, competing with traditional vessel-based techniques.

The NSW Government is interested in examining the utility of this technology in support of a range of applications including tsunami, climate change and storm surge modelling.

NSW Government has established a centralised data storage and transfer system making the LiDAR survey data and derived products generally available and accessible to government.

This specification requires tenderers to undertake a high-resolution airborne LiDAR data acquisition survey and supply quality assured high resolution LiDAR-derived elevation data and products of the type, accuracy and coverage described in Specification.

Tenderers are invited to supply for the Central Coast Study Area between Swansea and The Entrance (Attachment2):

A. A Quality Assurance Plan
B. An airborne LiDAR-based data acquisition survey;
C. Digital data
D. A digital elevation model (DEM);
E. Survey Control Data and
F. Contractors Report
