Tender Details
The NSW Government seeks to acquire high resolution bathymetric LiDAR data and spatial modelling products for the NSW coast. The data is intended to assist in mapping sediment cells along the NSW coast and to provide information to enable modelling of nearshore processes and hazards, including coastal erosion, inundation and the impacts of climate change. It is expected the data will also assist in the mapping of marine habitats and the management of the marine estate.
The resultant elevation and modelling products are being made available for whole-of-government use and public distribution.
This specification requires tenderers to undertake a high-resolution bathymetric LiDAR data acquisition survey and supply quality assured high resolution LiDAR-derived elevation data and products of the type, accuracy and coverage described in the Specification.
Tenderers are requested to provide costings and proposed methods to deliver the following:
- A project plan
-
A quality assurance plan
-
Airborne bathymetric LiDAR acquisition
-
LiDAR derived products including a digital elevation model (DEM) and contours
-
Supporting datasets including GPS and survey control
- A report of survey and accompanying images
The area of interest spans the whole NSW coast including Lord Howe Island as shown in section 3 although the NSW government reserves the right to only proceed with selected areas depending on cost and final prioritisation.
While Tenderers may submit additional prices for bathymetric LiDAR data acquired at vertical and horizontal precisions greater than that set out in the Specification, the Specification will be the minimum requirement for the tender.
On completion of the project the NSW government will own the data and any associated intellectual property (IP). No restrictions will be accepted regarding the use, exploitation, reproduction, adaptation or sublicensing and distribution of the data and associated IP by the Office of Environment and Heritage (OEH).
