Tender Details

KEY SCOPE OR DELIVERABLES OF WORKS

Inspect and report the condition and carry out the required maintenance works for the internal and external surfaces and all associated components of the Units 1/2 Chimney Stack.

 

The works include the design, supply, erection and removal on completion of the works, a safe and proven chimney stack access system such as a steeplejack ladder system with associated work platforms and travelling swing stage or other systems, in order to gain access to the required inspection and work areas.

 

Carry out repairs identified in Eraring Energy’s visual inspection report “Units 1 & 2 Chimney Stack Inspection – September 2009”, work identified during this contract and additional repair work where directed by the Principal.

 

The extent of the inspection, reporting, repairs and other works shall be limited to the areas bounded by external surfaces the chimney windshield but includes associated attachments and fitments such as, but not limited to, cappings, steps irons and lightning conducting system

 

Submit progressive and final written reports regarding the chimney stack inspection findings. All inspections and reporting must be performed and guided by an experienced Civil/Structural Engineer approved by the Principal. The engineer must have experience and expertise in materials and the type of chimney stacks constructed at Eraring Power Station.
