Exciting opportunity to participate in a TfNSW Market Sounding for Automated Bus Services Trial in Sydney. It is anticipated that this will be a full size public transport bus operating on a busy Sydney route. NSW Government is seeking input from industry, partners and researchers to help inform the potential procurement of a Connected and Automated Bus trial in Sydney.

The NSW Government recognises the need to be prepared for emerging technologies, such as connected and automated vehicles (CAVs), and welcomes investment into beneficial new and emerging technologies.

NSW has legislation in place that enables the trialling of highly and fully automated vehicles on the state’s roads.

Transport for NSW (TfNSW), the state government’s transport agency, has a strong innovation ecosystem including the Smart Innovation Centre and Digital Accelerator that help to design and deliver technology innovation in partnership with industry.

This ecosystem has been established to enable industry, start-ups and researchers from around the world to work with government to trial innovations such as connected and automated vehicle technologies on our roads.

TfNSW is partnering with industry and the research community to undertake trials and understand how we can enable our vision for a connected and automated future that will deliver on the outcomes in our Future Transport Strategy of Customer focus, Successful places, A strong economy, Safety and performance, Accessible Services and Sustainability. 

TfNSW is seeking interested parties to participate in market soundings that will be held in early 2019 in Sydney.

Expression of Interest For Pre-Qualification - An invitation for Expression of Interest (EOI) for pre-registration of prospective tenderers for a type of work or service. Applicants are initially evaluated against published selection criteria. RFT may then be invited from a panel of providers (as Selective, or Invited).

Location of work: Sydney CBD

In order to gain access to the Market Sounding event, Proponents are required to register their interest by completing and submitting the attached RFEOI Registration Form via the eTendering portal by the Closing Date and Time of the RFEOI. 

When responses are received via eTendering potal the market sounding individual sessions will be scheduled in Sydney. 

No
