Upper Darling Salt Interception Construction Detention Ponds - 1000490

The salient features of Disposal Basin includes:

-          Evaporation Basin

-          Enhanced Leakage Pond (ELP); and

-          Terminal Structure, Check & Culverts and Outlet to ELP.

The principal items of work to be executed under this Contract as described herein and as shown on the drawings, include the following:

§          Foundation preparation and construction of approximately 3.5 km homogeneous external and internal embankments including the Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Access Track on the embankment crest for Evaporation Basin;

 

§          Excavation of 360 m long at surface level  x 50m wide at surface level  x 5 m deep below surface level for Enhanced Leakage Pond (the dimensions of ELP are based on a clay layer up to a depth of    4.6m and they are indicative only)

§          Construction of following reinforced concrete structures:

i.          One (1) Terminal Structure;

ii.         One (1) Check & Culverts; and

iii.        Two (2) Outlets to ELP.

§          Supply and delivery of pipes, pipe bedding and protection materials and installation of pipes
