The goal of the Parks Eco Pass system for Figure Eight Pool is to facilitate a high quality and safe experience for commercial clients. Other objectives of the system are to:

1. Provide an efficient, equitable, consistent and customer-focused system;

2. Encourage ecologically sustainable and culturally appropriate visitor use;

3. Improve certainty for industry investment;

4. Encourage higher operating standards;

5. Improve compliance and monitoring;

Recognise the invaluable role played by commercial recreation and tour operators, in partnerships with NPWS, in promoting our parks and encouraging visitors to appreciate, understand and enjoy them.

Licensing assists NPWS in meeting Visitor Economy Industry Action Plan targets by entering into relationships with the private sector to provide nature-based recreational opportunities for visitors.
