Retail Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) - UTS TENDER NOTICE

UTS is planning to run an open competitive tender for a long term renewable electricity retail agreement known as a Retail Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). The preferred length of this contract will be 7-10 years, but it will be open to the tenders to suggest financially optimal contract term. 

Contract start date: July 2024

Volume of electricity / green products: 44,000 MWh pa 

Expected tender release date: End of May 2023

 

UTS’s aims in this tender:

a.            achieving 100% renewable and emissions-free electricity;

b.            achieving this emissions reduction at lower cost;

c.            providing budget certainty and a lower cost of electricity; and

d.            achieving greenhouse gas reductions in line with UTS Climate Positive Plan targets.
