Tender Details

TfNSW are seeking a Project Manager to lead one of our delivery teams within Infrastructure and Services, Fleet Branch.

This position plays a key role on the New Intercity Fleet (NIF) Project and reports to the Principal Manager, NIF Infrastructure. The primary purpose of the role is to oversee and ensure the delivery and management of multidisciplinary rail infrastructure construction work and services to deliver Commissioning and Stabling Facilities for the NIF trains.

Dimensions of role

• Manage technical advisors / constructors to deliver the technical solution and meet the safety, environmental, cost and quality objectives of the project.

• Manage risks to SFAIRP.

• Coordinate with transport stakeholders and agencies, in particular with RSDO, NSW Trains and Sydney Trains, to ensure operational requirements are considered in the development of the technical solution.

• Accountable for managing all aspects of the planning, procurement, design, construction, testing and commissioning of the infrastructure work (in a rail environment)

• Work collaboratively with the NIF Project Team members, suppliers and various stakeholder groups to achieve best for project outcomes.

• Manage and report on costs, schedule, risks, safety, environmental compliance, quality, etc.

We are looking for an outcomes focused individual with demonstrable project management experience in leading successful teams in the delivery of complex rail infrastructure programs of work.

Conditions for Participation

Each candidate will be assessed against the following minimum requirements prior to being evaluated. Candidates who fail to meet the minimum requirements may not be evaluated further.

1. Tertiary qualification in an Engineering, Construction or Commercial discipline;

2. A minimum of 12 years post graduate experience in the Project Management ofinfrastructure construction projects;

3. Demonstrated experience as a Project Manager leading the delivery of multidisciplinary rail infrastructure construction projects with CAPEX value greater than $30 million within the last 5 years;  and

4. Acceptance of terms in TfNSW’s Professional Services Contract.
