Golf Course Strategic Review - Q238-20

Council is seeking quotations from suitably qualified and experienced Consultants for the Golf Course Strategic Review.

The review is to look at the long-term future need and form of golf courses in the City. The consultant is to identify the issues and opportunities at the 2 Council-owned public golf courses in the City, these being Sefton and Canterbury Golf Courses, in consideration of the golf service also available from 2 private golf courses in the City. The review will also consider these issues and opportunities in the context of golf courses in neighbouring LGAs that can be used by residents of the City. The consultant is to develop a range of high level options and recommendations for the two public golf courses in the City. This may include upgrade, closure, reducing size, relocation, introducing other sports/activities and so on.

It is anticipated that any future options will retain significant public open space and environmental and biodiversity values.
