Sydney Trains invites capable suppliers to design, manufacture, test and deliver a wide range of High Voltage AC rated Cables for use across the Sydney Trains rail network. The proposed contract will be for a potential term of up to 7 years (3 + 2 + 1 + 1) on a standing offer basis.
Sydney Trains has a High Voltage distribution network which supplies electricity to traction substations and railway distribution substations. Feeders of this High Voltage distribution network consist of aerial and underground cables with nominal voltages between 6.6kV and 66kV.
The 6.6kV rated cables are specifically used as feeders on the 1500 V Direct Current Traction power supply system.
The scope encompasses the manufacture, testing and delivery of 6.6/11/33/66kV AC cables to the Sydney Metropolitan region. 1kV bonding cables are also in scope.
Cables procured under the proposed contract may be required for renewal projects or for planned greenfield projects.
It is mandatory for the cables to be Type Approved, prior to its use on Sydney Trains network.
Tenderers will be able to access the tender documents only after uploading a signed Process and Confidentiality Deed Poll in ARIBA. The Process and Confidentiality Deed Poll (Annexure B) is included in Part A Invitation to Tender and Tender particulars.
