Tender Details
Sydney Trains is approaching the market to identify 1 or 2 buyers to purchase, remove and transport scrap materials from Sydney Trains sites on an as and when required basis, for a term of up to 5 years (3+1+1).
The scope includes two separable portions (Auburn Heavy Maintenance Centre as one portion and then all other Sydney Trains sites as the second portion) that may be awarded to separate vendors or both sites may be awarded to one vendor. Tenderers may submit an offer for either separable portion or both.
The successful buyers will also be required to supply metal bins.
The scrap materials include:
- General scrap steel
- Rail and rail attachments
- Wheels and axles
- Swarf turnings
- Carbon/copper components
- Pantograph strips
- Stainless steel (304 grade and magnetic)
- Aluminum.
