Tender Details
The purpose of this EOI is to facilitate the identification, evaluation and type approval of suitable signalling and control system productswhich support Sydney Trains’ future asset integrity, performance and network operational capacity needs. The Principal is seeking responses from suppliers who have a demonstrative ability to supply signalling and control system products within the classes of Points Systems, Interlockings and Axle Counters.
As a joint-collaboration between the Sydney Trains, Asset Standards Authority and Transport for NSW, high level performance specifications have been developed and tenderers encouraged to submit multiple products for evaluation within each asset category. Any tried, tested and fully proven products will be considered, particularly if already approved by other international rail bodies.
On conclusion of the EOI, Sydney Trains intends to appoint one or more preferred type approved suppliers under long term supply agreements through a separate sourcing event. This second stage is dependant to the outcomes of this EOI and is at Sydney Trains own discretion.
As a mandatory requirement, respondents will be asked to inform of technical, commercial and legal key non-conformances within the EOI. Sydney Trains maintain the right to exclude or include non-compliant responses from the evaluation process.
An industry briefing for this EOI will be hosted by Sydney Trains, Transport for NSW and Asset Standards Authority will on Friday August 12th, 8:30am – 11:30am in the Corinthian Room, Sydney Masonic Centre, 66 Goulburn Street, Sydney. Invitations to this briefing session event close 5th August 2016.
