Tender Details
The Fleet Maintenance division (FMD) of Sydney Trains is responsible for delivering level 1 and level 2 maintenance across particular fleets, and supporting the delivery of level 3 maintenance activities.
The Fleet Maintenance division requires the development and implementation of a maintenance optimisation strategy that provides the maximum number of reliable trains for peak (and off-peak services) to high standards in terms of passenger safety and environment, whilst maintaining the lowest possible operational costs to meet the NSW Government’s initiative of enhancing Existing Network Enhancements program.
The scope is divided into two separable portions:
Separable portion 1: critically review the current fleet maintenance model for all electric rollingstock fleets maintained by Sydney Trains (S,C,K & V-Sets, Tangaras, OSCars), and provide options and recommendations (including scope, cost, schedule and risk) on how to optimise the maintenance model to enable the required availability of fleet to meet the requirements of the Existing Network Enhancement program.
Separable portion 2: implement the agreed maintenance model, based on the recommendations from separable portion 1. The details of this separable portion will be defined once separable portion 1 has been delivered.
