Supply of Centre Pin Castings for XPT Fleet
The scope of this project is to manufacture centre pin castings for the XPT fleet’s power cars. The centre pin is a critical component utilised for the purpose of connecting the rolling stock car body to the bogie frame. The centre pin is responsible for transferring all tractive and braking loads between the bogie, and the car body. The centre pin casting is subject to high in-service stresses. Accordingly, the casting is classified as a safety critical item under the requirements of AS 4292.3.

Sydney Trains is seeking EOI from experienced and capable parties (or consortia) to deliver an innovative world-class adaptive re-use project which creates an iconic new experience for Sydney residents and visitors and enhances access and amenity to St James Station.
